Well, time for Marvel's heroes to be a little more family friendly I guess. Thoughts on this?

I sense only bad things in the near future for the Marvel universe...

This was my reaction. And I expect horrible things like character derailment and The Punisher using laser guns and not killing the bad guys. But I hope the guys on Disney leave the character development alone.

The Walt Disney Co. is punching its way into the universe of superheroes and their male fans with a deal announced Monday to acquire Marvel Entertainment Inc. for $4 billion, bringing characters such as Iron Man and Spider-Man into the family of Hannah Montana and Camp Rock.

That had to be fixed.

My reaction is, I feel like this is the end of decency. At first Disney betrays the agegroup they used to appeal to, then they promote pop-stars that are so bad, they sound like they're singing with a cactus down in their throat, and now THIS? Good Goody...

Also, why do I have a feeling this is going to seriously screw up the next IronMan movie? ._.

It's not the possibility of ruining the characters that concerns me. Disney is too smart for that.

It's the blatant and very irking greed that comes from being a media juggernaut(no pun intended)like Disney. They now have another household name under their belt and they're gonna milk it to hell and back.

Why? Cause they're Disney and they can load their wallets some more with it.

Pretty much. Almost every Marvel movie has been a blockbuster with millions of dollars in ticket sales, and I guess Disney is taking advantage of that. But I'm also worried about Deadpool and Punisher. Both of them are the most violent of the characters (Deadpool maybe a little less than Punisher) and with Disney's "Family Friendly" marketing policies, those two could see quick cancellations and we may have to kiss the Deadpool movie goodbye. RIP Ryan Reynolds, you were the best Wade Wilson we had... even if you only lasted about 10 minutes in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
